encouraging andwelcoming connection(John 13:34-35 and Hebrews 10:25)
The world disconnects us through fear, anxiety and anger. We each have our strengths and weaknesses, successes and failures. We are all created in the image of God, our creator. Therefore, we genuinely value each person’s story as powerful and unique testimony that should be respected. God will use anyone’s testimony for His glory and for the benefit of others. So, we invite and encourage volunteers, staff and campers alike to share these stories if they see fit, one-on-one or in a group. And clean, well-placed humor warms the heart, nurtures the soul and disarms the mind. Emotional safety, appropriate vulnerability and playfulness foster relational connection…and in such a disconnected world, we can all use that.
Building Christ-centered Character(Galatians 5:22-23 and Titus 2:6-8)
When Momma says to take out the trash…
The world teaches loving yourself as supreme and taking what you want as the rule. But this is a trap, which, in the end, leaves you with just that…only yourself. God’s Word sets a higher standard that leads to freedom. During our monthly day camps, youth work, play, dine and converse with our volunteers and staff. Seeing mature Christians prayerfully live out their faith reassures youth that there is a way to be free from the tyranny of being self-centered. We strive to point to Jesus with our words and actions. Whether our campers choose a relationship with Jesus or not, we love and walk alongside them all the same. Forgiveness, Grace, Mercy, Love and Patience mark the life of freedom of one who loves God and loves others as yourself which, in the end, leaves you with just that…God, others and yourself.
Momma shouldn’t even have to ask you to take out the trash.
Accountable(Colossians 3:23)
We were called to this mission by the Lord. Therefore, we do not take our responsibility lightly. Guiding and walking alongside youth is one of the most important acts of life in any society. Since 2009 we have sought to build trust with parents, guardians, campers, volunteers, staff, ministry partners, government agencies, financial investors and anyone else we touch as an organization. We require background checks for all staff and volunteers. We seek to consistently develop, train and implement best-practice screening and accountability measures for day camps and mentoring as well as legal and financial aspects of the ministry. Clear communication, professional training and organized operations undergird our relational culture. The endeavor to operate beyond reproach is never ending. We covet your Christ-centered prayers for us in this highly important value.
humbly serving(Mark 10:45)
Jesus did not come to be served, but instead He came to serve. We follow his example of servant leadership. Whether offering a drink of water, a word of encouragement or building a disability ramp for a local citizen in need, we hope to see our campers become servant leaders in their community and families. And, as some have done, we enjoy seeing them return as volunteers for Three Circles! We know well that being allowed to walk with youth and their parents or guardians is a privilege. We do not assume a stance of superiority but one of shared experience instead. Solidarity in our human condition is essential to personal growth. Although we fully believe in creating a high structure environment, we equally assert a high level of nurture. These allow us to take our campers on a journey of teaching them to put others first and to serve one another and our community in love…and oddly enough sometimes it is our campers who end up teaching us a thing or two. Thank you, Jesus, for this opportunity to serve!
At Three Circles Foundation, we believe in the power of presence—being there for our youth in meaningful, intentional ways. Volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission, helping us cultivate relationships that reflect our three core circles: Jesus Christ, the Community, and the Earth.
Whether you're guiding hands-on experiences at our facility, mentoring youth through life’s challenges, helping with events, or simply lending a listening ear, your time and heart can make a lasting impact.
There’s a place for you here.No matter your background or skillset, if you have a heart to serve, we have a role for you. Come walk alongside us as we plant seeds of hope, purpose, and transformation.
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others..."—1 Peter 4:10
